Service ribbons like military ribbon mounting are the ribbon bars mounted on the small metal bars attached with attaching devices and are generally issued to wear in the place of medals. Every country has its own rules and regulations to wear certain service ribbons and in which order. This is certainly called an official document and is called the order of wearing, whereas, in some countries, you will find the only ribbon with no medals attached to it.
How are they constructed?
There are several construction ways for the military thin ribbons. In some countries, service ribbons are made with a pin backing, which is supposed to be pushed through the uniform’s fabric and secured with fasteners on the inside edges. These ribbons are secured individually that are lined up even they can be mounted onto the single fastener. Other methods of wearing the service ribbons have included physically sewing and onto the uniform garments.
Design of service ribbons
The service ribbon for a particular award is generally indistinguishable from the suspension strip on the decoration. For instance, the suspension and service ribbons, such as US standard size, 1/4 creeps by 3/8 crawls for the US Government’s Purple Heart decoration, are purple with a white vertical stripe at each end.
The Soviet Order of Victory is an identification that was worn on the military parade uniform. However, a strip bar addressing the Order of Victory was worn on a tactical field uniform. Service ribbons and strips are worn in rows on the left side of the chest for the most important part.
