World War I was a global war that originated in Europe that ended on 11 November 1918. For the first time, a war happened on the land, sea, and below the sea. The First World War was the most frightening in history by destroying everything until World War II came. The WW1 magazine articles show how the world war destroyed many lives, and it was an unnecessary battle. 

World War I and II both happened in the time 20th century. The 20th century is also called the American century because the things that happened in America were unimaginable. They fought wars, had to go through diseases but crossed it all. They dominated the century. They were at the top in economics, politics, and so many other things. 

Why is the Mid 20th century called the American century?

• After the world war ended, the United States enjoyed wealth and prosperity unknown in foreign lands and rose above all. 

• They became so wealthy after the war that every country was bowing down to them. All The business was carried by merchant ships and aircraft to all other cities. 

• America named food, clothing, movies, machines, and science. Everywhere it was flooded with America’s name. 

• America got everything at that time and was healthier and wealthier, but it didn’t come to them like that. It went through a lot to become the American century. America was leading everywhere. It was on top of entertainment, politics, and much more. The entertainment industry was all about America at that time. 

• At that time the technology was also invented by them. America was leading the technology area as well. Internet was not available at that time. They invented the internet, which has been beneficial for everyone till now. 

After all the problems, they owned the world, and so the century was named after them. They deserved to be named by the American century because all the things that happened at that time were about them.
